Corrections log

When an independent review finds an error, or a reader reports one, we fix it and record it here with the date.

Last updated 1 October 2026

These entries come from independent audits in which a reviewer re-read each cited official page, statute or provider document. To report an error yourself, use contact. Rule changes are tracked separately on the visa changes log.

  • 29 September 2026: Greece digital nomad visa. We had attributed the EUR 3,500 income and 12-month duration to a ministry page that contains no figures. The figures are right; they now cite the Greek government's nomad portal and two professional summaries of Law 4825/2021. We also corrected the tax field to unconfirmed, and said that family amounts are a total for a spouse and an add-on per child.
  • 29 September 2026: Bulgaria in the visa tracker. The fee, processing time, insurance and place-of-application text came from a general long-term residence page that never mentions digital nomads. We annotated it as generic and corrected the status note; the nomad category and income rule (50 minimum monthly wages) were confirmed.
  • 29 September 2026: Georgia, Cayman Islands and Moldova in the tracker. Georgia is recorded as no nomad permit (a year of visa-free stay, not a scheme). The Cayman Islands programme's regulations lapsed, so it is now closed. For Moldova we removed a processing-time figure that appeared on neither official page.
  • 29 September 2026: Italy digital nomad visa. The income floor came from consulate sheets that disagree. The governing 2024 decree gives a formula, three times the lowest exemption level, which we computed as EUR 24,790, and said so.
  • 29 September 2026: Cyprus in the tracker. We had marked Cyprus as unclear because the government page blocked automated readers. Read in a browser, it confirms EUR 3,500 net a month, one year renewable twice, and applications open, so the status is now open.
  • 29 September 2026: South Korea in the tracker. We had stored KRW 52.42 million, which is Korea's gross national income per capita, as the minimum income. The requirement is twice that, about KRW 104.84 million, and the Asia table is rewritten.
  • 29 September 2026: Portugal D8 visa guide. We removed a visa validity claim attributed to the AIMA page, which does not say it, after confirming the income rule, 2026 minimum wage, fees and deadlines.
  • 29 September 2026: Spain digital nomad visa guide. We had called the euro income amounts our own arithmetic although the consulate prints them, and we added a note that the printed EUR 306 is a rounding of 25 percent of the minimum wage.
  • 29 September 2026: Brazil digital nomad visa guide. We corrected a EUR 110 fee for EU citizens (the consulate page says EUR 100) and a 30-day police registration rule that the cited notice does not contain; the consulates say 90 days.
  • 29 September 2026: Visa tax residency table and comparison pages. We removed a stale "host blocked" note for Cyprus, corrected a description that said 19 schemes where the table has 20, and sourced Thailand's long-term resident visa to the official BOI site.
  • 29 September 2026: Nomad insurance guides. We removed every insurer figure we could not read on the insurer's own page, and corrected SafetyWing: a USD 250 deductible and a two-year lookback came from a 2023 PDF and a third-party claim, so we now follow its current policy page and label the PDF-only figures. The insurance table now has a source link on each row and says "quote only" where no price is printed.
  • 29 September 2026: Schengen 90/180 rule explained. We fixed a broken European Commission calculator link, dated the Entry/Exit System rollout, softened an overclaim that days are computed automatically, and removed an unsourced claim about the length of entry bans.
  • 29 September 2026: Banking abroad for nomads. The page said one provider's account has no deposit protection. Its customer agreement says USD funds are swept into FDIC-insured partner accounts, up to USD 250,000, for customers who opt in to the interest feature. We corrected the lede, the account-freeze section and the FAQ.
  • 29 September 2026: US taxes for American digital nomads. We replaced an unsupported claim about trips over 24 hours and travel between foreign countries with what the IRS page actually says, and pointed to IRS Publication 54.

Pages that were re-read and needed no change are not listed.
