Not confirmed. Executive Order No. 86, signed on 24 April 2025, authorises the Department of Foreign Affairs to issue a Digital Nomad Visa, but we found no official page with the implementing rules, an income amount or an application channel. What the order itself sets out: a stay of up to one year with multiple entry, renewable; sufficient income earned outside the Philippines; health insurance for the whole period; age 18 or over, a clean record, and a nationality whose country offers a similar visa to Filipinos. Holders cannot take Philippine employment. The tracker marks the status as unclear (checked 28 Sept 2026).

The conflicting launch claims
| Claim | Who said it | How it holds up |
|---|---|---|
| Launch expected in June 2025 | ASEAN Briefing, 2025 | No official application channel appeared then, and later reports say the rules were still pending |
| Agencies still drafting the implementing rules on issuance, revocation and renewal | Magrath, September 2025 | Consistent with the absence of an official procedure |
| Applications being accepted | Daily Tribune, July 2026 | Not confirmed by any official page we found |
| The DFA e-Visa portal does not list the Digital Nomad Visa | Genki guide, August 2026 | Consistent with the tracker’s “unclear” status |
The four third-party items were read as search-result summaries on 2 Nov 2026, not as full pages. The order’s terms in the table above also come from a search-result summary of the Official Gazette page (28 Sept 2026), because the direct fetch was refused. The official Philippine pages could not be reopened from our environment on 2 Nov 2026.
What to do instead, for now
- Check the source of truth: the Department of Foreign Affairs e-Visa portal and the Philippine embassy for your country. If the visa appears there, it will have an income rule and a fee; until then it is not an option you can plan on.
- Plan around the ordinary entry rules for your nationality, and see visa runs and overstays for what not to do.
- Compare Asian schemes that are open: the Asia nomad visa table lists Thailand’s DTV, Malaysia’s DE Rantau and others with official sources.

Method
The order’s terms come from the visa tracker record, built on 28 Sept 2026 from a search-result summary of the Official Gazette page, because the direct fetch was refused (as the tracker notes). The launch claims were collected on 2 Nov 2026. We will change the status here when an official procedure is published.
